Recap: Andrews Wildcats vs. Hiwassee Dam Eagles

The Andrews Wildcats had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They put the hurt on Hiwassee Dam with a sharp 63-37 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Andrews, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Cameron Rattler was on fire: he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. Rattler is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Landon Greene was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 9 rebounds.

Andrews' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Hiwassee Dam, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Andrews will take on Tuscola at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Tuscola is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Hiwassee Dam, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Murphy at 8:00 p.m. Hopefully Murphy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday.
