Baseball Recap: East Troy Comes Up Short

East Troy fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Jefferson on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 5-1 to the Eagles. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

East Troy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Sickler, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. Brayden Phillips also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

East Troy's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Jefferson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

While East Troy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
