Baseball Game Preview: Methacton Warriors vs. Phoenixville Phantoms

The Methacton Warriors will challenge the Phoenixville Phantoms at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither Methacton nor Phoenixville posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Phoenixville will be up against a hot Methacton team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Warriors came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Spring-Ford.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Phoenixville's offense. They lost 8-0 to Perkiomen Valley on Wednesday. Phantoms fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Vikings since on Wednesday.

Phoenixville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Muntz, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Methacton's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Phoenixville, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
