Volleyball Game Preview: Evanston Wildkits vs. Glenbrook North Spartans

Evanston hasn't had much luck against Glenbrook North recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Wildkits will look to defend their home court against the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Evanston and Glenbrook South meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Wildkits took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans.

Evanston was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly two points. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 27-25.

Meanwhile, Glenbrook North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to Maine South.

Glenbrook North was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Maine South work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 26-24.

Evanston's loss dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Glenbrook North, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-15.
