Baseball Recap: Williamstown Takes a Loss

If Williamstown was riding high fresh off their 8-2 takedown of Washington Township last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Braves fell just short of the Delsea Crusaders by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday. The Braves have struggled against the Crusaders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Williamstown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Delsea, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Williamstown will venture away from home to square off against Cumberland at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Colts have averaged an impressive 11 runs per game this season. As for Delsea, they are taking a road trip to face off against Kingsway at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
