Football Game Preview: Blairsville vs. Homer-Center

After two weeks on the road, Homer-Center is heading back home. On Friday they take on Blairsville at 7:00 PM. Homer-Center have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.

After a disappointing eight points in their last matchup, Homer-Center made sure to put some points up on the board against Saltsburg last Friday. Homer-Center took down Saltsburg 43-27. Homer-Center found Homer-Center's leader in underclassman sophomore Ben Schmidt, who picked up 110 yards on the ground and accumulated 206 passing yards. Pribesh was a defensive playmaker as well with a menacing three sacks.

Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Blairsville, and their game last Friday only extended their streak of losses to four. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 8-39 punch to the gut against Northern Cambria. Blairsville were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 8-31.

Homer-Center's victory lifted them to 4-3 while Blairsville's defeat dropped them down to 1-6. In their win, Homer-Center relied heavily on sophomore Ben Schmidt, who picked up 110 yards on the ground and accumulated 206 passing yards. Blairsville will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
