Baseball Recap: Aztec Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Aztec won against Page last Saturday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Tigers beat the Miyamura Patriots by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-3. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.

Aztec saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jadyn Brooks, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base.

Aztec's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11. As for Miyamura, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Aztec will take on Shiprock at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers are facing the Chieftains at the right time seeing as the Chieftains are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Miyamura, they will venture away from home to challenge Chinle at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
