Basketball Game Preview: Elkin Buckin' Elks vs. North Stokes Vikings

Elkin hasn't had much luck against North Stokes recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Elkin Buckin' Elks are taking a road trip to square off against the North Stokes Vikings at 8:00 p.m. North Stokes took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Elkin, who comes in off a win.

On Wednesday, Elkin strolled past West Wilkes with points to spare, taking the game 75-58.

Meanwhile, North Stokes came up short against Mount Airy on Wednesday and fell 57-45.

The win got Elkin back to even at 8-8. As for North Stokes, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-6.

Elkin came up short against North Stokes when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 70-59. Can Elkin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
