Baseball Game Preview: Union Area Scotties vs. Leechburg Blue Devils

For the second straight game, Union Area will face off against Leechburg. Union Area will take on Leechburg at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Union Area managed to slip by Leechburg the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Union Area came up short against Leechburg on Monday, falling 16-1. That's two games in a row now that the Scotties have lost by exactly 15 runs.

For Leechburg's part, they got a massive performance out of Chase Henry, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those four runs gave Henry a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Cummings, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Leechburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Union Area only posted an OBP of .182.

Union Area's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Leechburg, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Union Area might still be hurting after the 16-1 loss they got from Leechburg when the teams last played on Monday. Can Union Area avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
