Softball Recap: High Tech SD Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hoover on Wednesday, High Tech SD came back down to earth. The Storm fell just short of the Kearny Komets by a score of 10-9 on Friday. The Storm were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Komets earlier this season, when they won 9-7.

Grace Gallagher and Alexa Aranda stepped up to the plate in a big way. Gallagher went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Aranda went 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That triple was Gallagher's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucia Williams, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI and one run.

High Tech SD now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Kearny, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.

As of now, neither High Tech SD nor the Komets have any future games scheduled.
