Basketball Recap: John Bartram Comes Up Short

If John Bartram was riding high fresh off their 72-48 takedown of Franklin Towne on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The John Bartram Braves took a blow against the Chester Clippers on Saturday, falling 83-46. The loss continues a trend for the Braves in their matchups with the Clippers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Dajuan Peak and Joseph Mccutchen certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Peak posted 18 points, while Mccutchen put up 15 points. Mccutchen's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Khasir Greene was another key player, putting up five points.

John Bartram's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5. As for Chester, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-5.

John Bartram wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-48 win against Frankford on the 14th. As for Chester, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 90-58 victory against Academy Park on the 14th.
