Recap: North Cross Raiders vs. St. Christopher's Saints

The North Cross Raiders pushed their score all the way to 57 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. Their tough 81-57 loss to St. Christopher might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, North Cross can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 166th, while St. Christopher's is ranked sixth).

Despite the loss, North Cross still got an impressive performance from Antonio Mack, who scored 36 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Mack is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 16 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesiah Hines, who scored 11 points along with five assists and three steals.

North Cross' loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for St. Christopher's, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-4.

North Cross will take on Roanoke Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Roanoke Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Saturday. As for St. Christopher's, they will head out on the road to square off against Woodberry Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodberry Forest will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
