Basketball Game Preview: Ridgedale Rockets vs. Liberty Christian Academy Eagles

The Ridgedale Rockets will head out on the road to face off against the Liberty Christian Academy Eagles at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Ridgedale has four straight wins, Liberty Christian Academy has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Ridgedale will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Elgin, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Ridgedale blew past Elgin 54-29 on Saturday. The Rockets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Liberty Christian Academy played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 54-24 loss at the hands of Northside Christian. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 766th, while the Lions are ranked 292nd).

Liberty Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Ridgedale, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

Everything came up roses for Ridgedale against Liberty Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as the squad secured a 74-45 win. In that matchup, Ridgedale amassed a halftime lead of 39-17, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
