Basketball Recap: Osceola Continues Home Dominance on Monday

With a playoff win on the line, Osceola rose to the challenge on Monday. They came out on top against the Plant Panthers by a score of 75-66. The victory was nothing new for the Kowboys as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Osceola got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordan Mason out in front who went 9-for-13 en route to 22 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Mason a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Helio Quinan, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 17 points.

Osceola's victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.5 points over those games. As for Plant, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-8.

Looking ahead, Osceola will face off against Sarasota at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Sarasota's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 17 games. Plant does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
