While Geneva's win against Bartlett wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Geneva narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Bartlett 6-5. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won five in a row.

Caden Sorensen looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ethan Gronberg, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nelson Wendell, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

The victory got Geneva back to even at 1-1. As for Bartlett, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
