Softball Game Preview: Davis Sr. Blue Devils vs. St. Francis Troubadours

The Davis Sr. Blue Devils will challenge the St. Francis Troubadours at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Davis Sr.'s hitters haven't had much luck over their past three matchups, but Wednesday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Davis Sr. fell victim to Rocklin and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thunder. Considering the last time the Blue Devils couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Meanwhile, St. Francis came up short against Oak Ridge on Friday, falling 9-3.

St. Francis saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Barge, who went 3-for-4 with one run. Another was Alexis McFarland, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

St. Francis' loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Davis Sr., their defeat dropped their record down to 13-11.

Davis Sr. beat St. Francis 3-0 in their previous matchup back in April. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Troubadours have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
