Softball Recap: Weaver Wins Going Away Against Saks

It's playoff time, and Weaver had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Saks Wildcats on Friday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 11-7 win two weeks ago.

The team relied heavily on Anna Shirvinski, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Caitlyn Edmonson, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Weaver's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-14. As for Saks, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

As of now, neither Weaver nor Saks have any future games scheduled.
