The home team had won the previous four meetings between Franklin and Eastwood, and Franklin kept the tradition alive. The Cougars skirted past the Troopers 2-1. That's more bragging rights for Franklin, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Franklin's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-6-2. As for Eastwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-5.
