Basketball Recap: Sand Creek Takes a Loss

Sand Creek lost against East Jackson back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Sand Creek Aggies were outmatched by the East Jackson Trojans and fell 59-15. While losing is never fun, the Aggies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 581st, while the Trojans are ranked 197th).

Sand Creek got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Faith Beardmore and Emma Burns, who each put up five points. Madalynn Trame held things down on the boards with five rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Sand Creek and nudges their season record down to 3-19. As for East Jackson, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-8.

Sand Creek has already played their next match, a 57-19 defeat against Erie-Mason on the 3rd. As for East Jackson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-33 victory against Manchester on the 28th.
