Baseball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Veritas Christian

Veritas Christian took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Northland Christian, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles' pitchers stepped up to hand Northland Christian a 1-0 shutout on Friday. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by just one run.

Veritas Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was James Lee, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

The win made it two in a row for Veritas Christian and bumps their season record up to 11-4. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Northland Christian, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-4.

Veritas Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northland Christian, they will square off against North Platte at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
