A Season-Best Performance from Dontrell Mims Leads Hoke County over Southern Lee
Hoke County was led to victory by Dontrell Mims, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Mims picked up 5.5 sacks and made ten total tackles.
With the win, Hoke County broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-6. Mims and Hoke County will head out to square off against Union Pines at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Zymire Spencer Dazzles in Pinecrest Win
Zymire Spencer's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his fifth-straight game with 127+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 87-yard run.
Spencer must have Lee County's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Spencer last faced the Yellow Jackets back in October of 2023, he rushed for 228 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry.

Chris Najm Makes It Two for Pinecrest
Keeping Spencer company is Chris Najm, a fellow Pinecrest player. He rushed for 122 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries.
This season, Najm has run in 14 touchdowns while averaging 98.3 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had five rushing touchdowns.
