Baseball Recap: Bishop Moore Finds Playoff Glory Versus Pasco

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bishop Moore walked away with it. They skirted past the Pasco Pirates 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Hornets sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Bishop Moore got a great performance from Tony Castro as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Castro has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kai Lwin was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Davis, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Bishop Moore pushed their record up to 22-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Pasco, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-9.

As of now, neither Bishop Moore nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
