Basketball Recap: Lenape Valley Comes Up Short

Lenape Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Wallkill Valley Rangers 88-57. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 365th, while the Rangers are ranked 142nd).

Lenape Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Wallkill Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Lenape Valley will head out on the road to take on Jefferson Township at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wallkill Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against High Point at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with High Point sitting on three straight wins and Wallkill Valley on four.
