Leon has gone 9-1 against Rickards recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Lions will venture away from home to face off against the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Leon will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Leon had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 25-run drubbing they dealt FAMU DRS on Tuesday. The Lions put the hurt on the Baby Rattlers with a sharp 27-2 victory. Considering the Lions have won six matches by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Taylor Winfield made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run but no hits (and not a single walk). Winfield was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Lamonika Sims was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing six bases while going 3-for-4. Those six stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kierstyn Fuller, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4.
Leon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .763. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as FAMU DRS only posted an OBP of .182.
Meanwhile, Rickards lost 15-5 to Bay on Tuesday.
Arriana Wilson was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Alivia Scott, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Leon's record is now 10-4. As for Rickards, they dropped their record down to 6-7 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Leon has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .527. However, it's not like Rickards struggles in that department as they've averaged .501. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Leon took their win against Rickards in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 10-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
