Softball Recap: Denton Takes a Loss

Denton lost against Grapevine back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Denton Broncos lost 15-2 to the Grapevine Mustangs. That's two games in a row now that the Broncos have lost by exactly 13 runs.

Denton is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10-1. As for Grapevine, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-7.

Looking ahead, Denton will host Colleyville Heritage at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Denton has given up an average of 7.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Grapevine, they are taking a road trip to square off against Ryan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grapevine is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
