Basketball Game Preview: GREEN Upstate Owls vs. Thornwell Saints

The GREEN Upstate Owls and the Thornwell Saints will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

GREEN Upstate is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They came up short against Greer Middle College, falling 35-11.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Thornwell). They claimed a resounding 73-8 victory over South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-4.

GREEN Upstate's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Thornwell, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3.
