Baseball Game Preview: Christian Academy Warriors vs. Borden Braves

Christian Academy is 0-8 against Borden since May of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Braves at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Christian Academy easily dispatched Portland Christian on Saturday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Warriors fell just short of Kentucky Country Day by a score of 7-5 on Monday.

Jonah Whitehead was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Adrien Bryson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Borden came up short against Brownstown Central on Tuesday and fell 4-1. The game marked Borden's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Borden, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-4.

Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 15-5 loss they got from Borden when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
