Soccer Recap: Watauga Comes Up Short

After soaring to four goals the game before, Watauga was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Alexander Central Cougars by a score of 1-0. Considering the last time Watauga couldn't score was back in February, the team can't take the result too hard.

The loss snapped Watauga's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-5-1 record. As for Alexander Central, they pushed their record up to 7-4-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Watauga will welcome Hibriten at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hibriten will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Watauga surely won't give up without a fight. As for Alexander Central, they are taking a road trip to challenge South Caldwell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Alexander Central are facing South Caldwell at the right time seeing as South Caldwell are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
