Volleyball Recap: Central Gets Their First 'W'

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Valle Catholic, Central was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the DeSoto Dragons.

One reason for the win was Central's defense just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final set scores came out to 26-24, 25-22, 25-8.

Despite the defeat, DeSoto saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Adrienne Sullivan had eight digs and two aces.

Central's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for DeSoto, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games, dating back to last year. That leaves them at an 0-6-2 record this season.
