Basketball Recap: Zane Lange's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Manzanola over Bethune

Manzanola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 39-35 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bethune Bobcats.

Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zane Lange, who posted ten points and five rebounds. Mark Holland was another key player, putting up ten points.

Bethune's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ty Morris led the charge by earning nine points.

Manzanola's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Bethune, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.

Manzanola didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-15 loss against Springfield on the 1st. As for Bethune, they will challenge Genoa-Hugo/Karval at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Bethune is facing Genoa-Hugo/Karval at the right time seeing as Genoa-Hugo/Karval is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
