Baseball Game Preview: Lake Roosevelt Raiders vs. Liberty Bell Mountain Lions

Lake Roosevelt hasn't had much luck against Liberty Bell recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Raiders will welcome the Mountain Lions at 4:00 p.m. Lake Roosevelt has given up an average of 15.4 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lake Roosevelt is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 20th straight game dating back to last season on Saturday. They came up short against Colfax, falling 14-0.

Meanwhile, Liberty Bell didn't have quite enough to beat Chewelah on Saturday and fell 3-1. That's two games in a row now that the Mountain Lions have lost by exactly two runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Liberty Bell and nudges their season record down to 6-2. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only two runs. As for Lake Roosevelt, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Lake Roosevelt suffered a grim 16-0 defeat to Liberty Bell in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
