Volleyball Recap: Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience Takes a Loss

If Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Soldan International Studies last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Owls came up short against the Whitfield Warriors on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Owls in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.

While Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-14, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience still got an impressive performance from Dylan Nguyen, who had ten digs and two assists. Nguyen is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last three games he's played. Collin Doering also deserves some recognition as he had his first dig of the season.

Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3-1. As for Whitfield, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience will face off against KIPP at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Whitfield, they will take on Holt at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
