Volleyball Recap: Monserrat Arredondo Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Patriot + How To Watch

The Arroyo Valley Hawks earned a 3-1 win over the Patriot Warriors on Tuesday.

Arroyo Valley was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-10, 20-25, 25-5.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arroyo Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Monserrat Arredondo, who had ten digs, five aces, and one block. Those ten digs gave Arredondo a new career-high. Alahna Sanchez was another key player, getting 23 digs and two assists.

Arroyo Valley's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Patriot, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, Arroyo Valley and Patriot will both be playing Kaiser the next time they take the court. The Hawks will head out to face the Cats at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, while the Warriors will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
