Orofino came tearing into Saturday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Marsing Huskies by a score of 12-7. 12 seems to be a good number for the Maniacs as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Orofino got a massive performance out of Nicholas Bonner, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. Those two doubles gave Bonner a new career-high. Aiden Olive was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Orofino's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Marsing, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-6.

Coming up, Orofino is taking a road trip to square off against Grangeville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Marsing, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Nampa Christian at 5:30 p.m. The Trojans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Huskies' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
