Basketball Recap: Algonac's Win Ends 12-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Croswell-Lexington, Algonac was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They snuck past the Almont Raiders with a 45-40 win. For the Muskrats, this counts as revenge for the 41-37 victory the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Algonac's win ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-6. As for Almont, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Algonac has already played their next match (against Imlay City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Almont is taking a road trip to square off against Armada at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
