            Volleyball Recap: Eastside Catholic Crusaders vs. West Seattle        
        
		
        
        
            Eastside Catholic entered their tilt with West Seattle on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single  set of losing the streak, but they secured  a   3-2 W against West Seattle. That's more bragging rights for the Crusaders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Eastside Catholic took West Seattle into a fifth set  where they got it done with a seven-point win. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-23, 23-25, 14-25,  15-8.

 Velvet Jia was the offensive standout of the  contest as she  had 24  digs and one  assist. Those  24  digs gave  her a new career-high.  Queen Tone was another key player,  getting seven  digs and two  aces.
 Eastside Catholic  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 11  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least six  aces in four consecutive  matches.
The  victory  got Eastside Catholic back to even at 3-3. As for West Seattle, their loss was  their third straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 1-5.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Eastside Catholic is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Seattle Prep  at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Meanwhile, West Seattle will  take on  rival Bishop Blanchet  at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday.
