Baseball Recap: River View Takes a Loss

River View fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Grundy on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Wave. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Golden Wave recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Andrew Addair was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Balin Auville was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.

River View's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Grundy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Coming up, River View will challenge Greenbrier West at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Raiders their first taste of in-conference action this season. Grundy has already played their next game (against Montcalm), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
