Baseball Recap: Pleasant Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Pleasant's offense. They lost 6-0 to the Clear Fork Colts on Thursday. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Colts recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Ryan Conway made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Pleasant's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Clear Fork, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasant will take on Elgin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Clear Fork, they will challenge Crestview at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.44 runs per game on average), something the Colts will no doubt try to take advantage of.
