Basketball Game Preview: St. Pius X Panthers vs. Episcopal Knights

The St. Pius X Panthers will take on the Episcopal Knights in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

It was a proper cat-fight when St. Pius X duked it out withNorthland Christian on Tuesday. St. Pius X fell to Northland Christian 56-51. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 648th, while the Cougars are ranked 148th).

Meanwhile, Episcopal waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They took down the Pirates 69-50.

St. Pius X has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Episcopal, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.

St. Pius X was taken down by Episcopal 84-37 in their previous matchup back in November of 2023. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point St. Pius X was down 42-13.
