Volleyball Recap: Tri-Valley's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Tri-Valley entered their tilt with Morgan on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Raiders 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Tri-Valley took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-12, 25-8.

Leading Tri-Valley to victory were Raegan Durfee and Gracie Olinger. Durfee had four aces, while Olinger had 15 digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Olinger a new career-high. Reagan Chapman also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Tri-Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. They are 13-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Tri-Valley's record is now 16-5. As for Morgan, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Tri-Valley will face off against rival West Muskingum at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Morgan is set to take on their familiar foe Crooksville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
