Basketball Recap: Rosman Comes Up Short

Rosman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Mitchell Mountaineers 100-17. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mountaineers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-21 last Thursday.

Derick Friend was Rosman's leading scorer, having posted six points. Friend also led the team in rebounds with three. Braelon Owen took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Rosman's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Mitchell, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Rosman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-31 defeat against NCSSM: Morganton on the 11th. As for Mitchell, they have also already played their next contest, a 69-54 victory against Avery County on the 15th.
