Softball Game Preview: Yosemite Badgers vs. Fowler Redcats

Yosemite is 0-3 against Fowler since March of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. Yosemite will host Fowler at 4:00 p.m.

Yosemite is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 14 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Caruthers on Friday. They came up short against the Blue Raiders, falling 12-2.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fowler, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Chowchilla by a score of 8-3 on Friday. The Redcats haven't had any issues with the Tribe recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Izzy Lopez made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Lopez was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Andreya Mendoza and Natalie Gonzales did most of the damage at the plate: Mendoza scored two runs while going 3-for-4, while Gonzales scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Anaiyah Rodriguez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Fowler now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Yosemite, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
