Flag Football Game Preview: Vincent Memorial Scots vs. Poway Titans + How To Watch

The Vincent Memorial Scots will head out to challenge the Poway Titans at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Vincent Memorial is coming into the game hot, having won their last 13 games.

Vincent Memorial is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Central: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Scots blew the Spartans out of the water with a 40-6 final score. The result was nothing new for the Scots, who have now won nine contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Azul Trujillo produced another solid performance throwing for 366 yards and six touchdowns while completing 77.1% of her passes. Her passing production has been exceptional as that marked her seventh straight game with at least 366 passing yards. A healthy portion of Trujillo's aerial production (95 yards to be exact) went to Jessica Manriquez, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Another reason for the win was Vincent Memorial's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Lucia Adame was especially locked on to Central's QB and sacked her twice.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Poway's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 13-6 to Carlsbad. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Lancers are ranked 20th).

Vincent Memorial's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Poway, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
