Cleveland Central waltzed into their game on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past Lake Cormorant 10-3. For the Wolves, this counts as revenge for the 10-5 victory Lake Cormorant walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Taliyah Thomas was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Katie Waldbieser, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Cleveland Central's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lake Cormorant, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cleveland Central will head out to square off against Yazoo County at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Cleveland Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season. As for Lake Cormorant, they will square off against Southaven at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
