Basketball Recap: Knightdale Piles Up the Points Against Enloe

Knightdale waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Enloe Eagles 57-7. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Eagles are ranked 306th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Knightdale's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Leia Rios, who went 6 for 12 on her way to 15 points and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'Kiyah Moore, who posted 11 points in addition to six boards and five assists.

Knightdale's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Enloe, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Knightdale will square off against East Wake at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Knightdale has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 199 points over their last three contests. As for Enloe, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Garner at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
