Softball Recap: South Milwaukee Makes It Five in a Row at Home

South Milwaukee won against Milwaukee Lutheran last Monday with 22 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Rockets didn't even let the Cudahy Packers on the board, marking the Rockets' second-straight 22-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Rockets in their matchups with the Packers: they've now won six in a row.

Ava Dziondziakowski was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Sophia Elmore was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Amber Helgren, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.

South Milwaukee's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for Cudahy, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
