Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Cecily Kaufman and Jersey Mccasland Lead Trinity Christian to Victory

Trinity Christian had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Monahans Loboes. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Trinity Christian might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Monahans scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-18.

Trinity Christian was led to victory by Jersey McCasland and Cecily Kaufman. McCasland had 13 digs, while Kaufman had ten assists and two aces. McCasland is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Trinity Christian's win bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Monahans, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-11.

Coming up, Trinity Christian will venture away from home to square off against Levelland at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Monahans, they will welcome Friona at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
