Freeland took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They strolled past Cadillac with points to spare, taking the game 47-28. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Vikings are ranked 276th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Escanaba got the win against Gladstone on Friday by a conclusive 38-12. Considering the Eskymos have won five games by more than 25 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
