Basketball Game Preview: Greenville H Hurricanes vs. Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons

The Greenville H Hurricanes are taking a road trip to challenge the Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 73-40, which was the final score in Greenville H's tilt against Asheville Christian Academy on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 165th in South Carolina, while the Lions are ranked 29th in North Carolina).

Meanwhile, Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They secured a 65-59 W over the Rams.

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-5. As for Greenville H, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-15.

Greenville H skirted past Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy 49-47 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Greenville H since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
