Basketball Recap: JW North Makes It Five in a Row at Home

JW North proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 25) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 49-46 victory over the King Wolves. For the Huskies, this counts as revenge for the 73-63 win the Wolves walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2023.

JW North's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-9. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for King, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-12 record.

JW North and King could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. JW North (ranked 559th) will meet Orange Vista (ranked 175th) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, King (ranked 513th) will meet Roosevelt (ranked first) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
